Q. Why do I need Web Hosting?

A. If you want to establish a 'Web presence', then firstly you will need a 'domain name' (see our domain regisrtation service offering or our Domain Name FAQs for more details).

Secondly, your domain name will need 'hosting' on a web server and once in place, you can then add content in order to create a website.

Even if you only want to use a domain name in order to establish a catchy and memorable email address, then this will need to be hosted (all our domain registration fees include basic domain hosting).

Our Web Hosting Plans offer a range of options, which will allow everything to be achieved from a basic informational site with just a few pages, to highly complex sites that occupy many pages and utilise database holding product or service data.

Q. Will I have enough Web space for my site?

A. Most web sites, unless they are intended for ecommerce, will only require 250mb of web space for almost the largest of sites with tens of pages. Most sites are much smaller than this, with perhaps 5-20 Web Pages including text and images, so unless you are intending to have a mega site in the style of Amazon (tm), then we have a range of plans to suit your needs. (Even if you are a budding 'Amazon', we may still be able to help you).

If in the future, your needs grow, then hosting plans from mprc Web Services are scalable to meet those needs. In the meantime you only have to pay for what you use.

Q. How reliable is your hosting service?

No provider can guarantee 100% up time on their servers, due to acts and events which are entirely beyond their control. mprc Web Services are confidently able to offer 99.9% up time as standard - this is the norm in the industry and we work to this standard in common with others charging much more for the same service.
