Q: Is it really that important to be ranked in the first few pages of Google, MSN & Yahoo?
A: Google is now the dominant force across the internet, a search engine used by hundreds of millions of visitors every single day all over the world (The latest surveys cite 63% of all searches are made through Google). Our view is that it is essential for your website to be listed and ranked at the top of this search engine as well as that of Yahoo, MSN, ASK and many more. At mprc Web Services, we work towards your website being ranked in the top 10 of every major search engine as soon as possible.
Q: Will mprc Web Services will get top 10 ranking positions for my website?
A: We expect to the first results within 30 days. No Search Engine Optimisation service provider can give a cast iron guarantee that top 10 rankings for your website will be gained, as this is impossible due to the regular and unannounced changes to search algorithms employed by the Search Engine operators. No SEO promotion service provider can claim ownership of the Search Engines and placement of sites in their rankings as this is ultimately decided by the Search Engine operators themselves. Our optimisation recommendations once implemented will, as far as possible, give you the best opportunity to get your site ranked in the Top 10 within the agreed time frame.

Q: Other SEO providers claim that they submit to 1,000+ search engines. Does mprc Web Services submit to this many search engines? If not, why not?
A: There are a couple of issues here: firstly would you ever use 1000 Search Engines?. Secondly, if the claim is correct, who are these Search Engine providers? Our understanding of the Search Engine market is as follows:
1. There are five major Search Engines on the Internet, namely Google, Yahoo, MSN, Ask and AOL. These all operate in global markets and offer the maximum exposure potential to websites. Many Internet Service Providers (ISPs) use on of these majors to drive their in-house search facilities. In fact they generally advertise that their search facility is 'powered by name of Search Engine provider'
2. At a secondary level, there are a further 70-75 Search Engines that operate in specialist business areas, specific territories and so on. Also, within this group are 'directory Search Engines', which usually have human editors - an example is 'dmoz'. Generally, the majors 'feed' off these and use the information in their databases to enhance their own search results content. So it is important to get listed with these too.
Therefore, in answer to your question, we submit your site to these most important Search Engines, which we know will gain maximum exposure for your site. The other 900? Not relevant in our view and worse still, some may be what is known as FFA (Free For All) directories, whereby your site may get listed amongst others that have entirely inappropriate content. Do you really want to be associated with porn for instance? (Not a problem if you run a porn site!)
